I've decided that the story I'm working on, Otherworld, will be set in the Stardust Continuum. What does that mean, you ask? Well...
Stardust is a city Erin created a while back and together, we're fleshed it out rather well. I got permission to set stories there (such as Brothers Origin, the comic I'm drawing right now, and Burning Soul, which is now to be set in Stardust as well) so I've been trying to figure out the city's history.
Stardust has always been a mecca for the spiritual and the city itself is very mystical and strange. It has been uprooted and moved at least six times, the most recent move to the New World, though I'm still trying to figure out where in America it is now located. Any suggestions? The city is landlocked but after the 2030s, it becomes a port for space travel once humans have colonized the moon. This is, of course, after the half-assed "apocalypse" in 2012. Any who... I have to figure out a place that would be good for space shuttle launches but that is also landlocked, so not Florida. Besides, Florida is flooded by the time the port is built....Anywho!!
As I figure things out about Stardust and its history, I've been putting stories there. So far, the time line is thus:
2010 - Otherworld
2023 - Burning Soul
2027 - Brothers Origin
I'm sure there will be other stories. Since I've decided to put them in the same continuum, there may be some crossovers. I actually plan on Tani and Sylvia from Burning Soul to end up showing up in Brothers Origin at some point, older and hopefully wiser, but that's about all I've got.
...I'm not even sure why I started babbling about this, but oh well.
